The field trip to Dubai Parks and Resorts: Motiongate, was something every one of the Middle School Girls’ section was looking forward too. There were hushed whispers and excited squeals heard at the very first mention of an outing. These antics had failed to cease until the awaited day arrived, November 15th,2018.
Girls excitedly scampered into school on the morning of November 15th, lugging heavy baggage that contained all that they needed for the field trip as well as the sleepover at school. There were sleeping bags all around as not one pupil dared to be unprepared for the exciting night that followed their exciting day.
There was the usual relentless chatter among all the girls as they peered into maps that held the layout of the amusement park they were going to visit.
They were all set to depart from school and embark on what was going to be an unforgettable
The amusement park was massive. Tall rides were able to be seen from above the entrance that spelt MOTIONGATE in big, bright and bold letters. Once given the green light, students rushed in different directions, desperate to have a try at as many rides as they could.
The most liked ride were the high speed rollercoasters such as the Mad Pursuit and The Capitol Bullet Train.
The trip back to school took longer due to the 5 p.m. traffic rush. But the day hadn’t come to an end yet. Rather, it had only begun.
The moment the buses arrived at school, pupils rushed to enjoy Indian chat flavours in the auditorium after which into classes to conduct a final practice of the acts they were going to perform, that night, at the Overnight Camp.
The programs showcased by each class were a splendid fusion of talent, effort and fun. To top that they enjoyed a lovely meal which suited their taste buds.
The night only improved as various class teachers decided to step up their game and join the dance floor. Students cheered on their teachers, ecstatic to see such an informal side to their mentors.
Overall, it was a bonding experience for both teachers and students collectively. Surely each student went home with their own set of memories, ones they would always cherish.
